Für das Rock im Park 2018 Line-Up gibt es weitere Neubestätigungen: Ganz oben bei der dritten Ankündigung stehen die UK-Indie-Rock-Heroen Alt-J und die US-Punk-Ikonen Bad Religion (anlässlich ihres 30-jährigen Jubiläums, werden sie nur hier ihr wichtigstes Album „Suffer“ in voller Länge und ihre größten Hits spielen). Die musikalische Bandbreite zeigt sich beim Rock im Park 2018 auch durch Künstler wie PVRIS, Antilopen Gang, Seasick Steve, Nothing More, Andrew W.K., 6ix9ine, Mantar, Don Broco, Thy Art is Murder, Scarlxrd, Giant Rooks und The Night Game.
Am ersten Juniwochenende wird Rock am Ring’s Schwesternfestival parallel vom 01. bis 03. Juni wieder auf dem Zeppelinfeld in Nürnberg stattfinden. Nur zehn Minuten mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln entfernt, befindet sich die historische Altstadt von Nürnberg im Norden vom Bundesland Bayern. Dort werden neben den großartigen Headlinern Foo Fighters, Thirty Seconds To Mars, Muse und Gorillaz noch jede Menge mehr Bands der Genres Rock, Hard Rock, Metal, Indie, Alternative, Hip-Hop und Electro dabei sein – Snow Patrol, Casper, Chase & Status, Rise Against, Beth Ditto, Avenged Sevenfold, Kreator, Good Charlotte, Marilyn Manson, Stone Sour, Bad Religion, Bullet For my Valentine, Parkway Drive – um nur einige zu nennen.
