Das beliebte, britische Download Festival 2021 sollte eigentlich vom 4. bis 6. Juni im Donington Park Leicestershire nahe Nottingham stattfinden. Doch auf Grund der Auswirkungen rund um das Coronavirus mussten die Veranstalter leider bereits die Ausgabe 2020 und nun auch das diesjährige Event absagen. Das dreitägige Rockfestival wollte seine 17. Runde feiern und dazu 100.000 Besucher*innen einladen und dazu zahlreiche Künstler aus den Genres Metal, Rock und Hardrock.

Als Top-Acts für das Download Festival 2021 Line-Up waren bereits KISS, Volbeat, System of a Down, Biffy Clyro, Airbourne, Korn, Deftones, Gojira, Blues Pills, Of Mice & Men, Myles Kennedy und viele mehr bestätigt.

Das Download Festival 2021 findet im Verbund einer großen Festivalgemeinschaft statt, darunter befindet sich auch das Download Festival Madrid, das Download Festival Paris und das Download Festival Australia.
